In the beginning, I had a small kennel of quality dogs that were imported from Europe.  As time  progressed,  I expanded and moved to Retriever Road in Zionsville Indiana to more acreage.   I built  a  barn that is climate controlled for the comfort of the dogs.  In addition, installed several large  outside runs and corrals allowing the dogs to attain good exercise to remain in top  condition.

I established a partnership with David Vollette of Clayview Labradors over ten years ago. David and I have the same "vision" for our kennel of dogs and share the same philosophy in what we want our Labradors to represent.  Our partnership has worked well over the years as we have attained our goals in the show ring, as well as striving to produce a quality Labrador for pet ownership.

Both David and I share the responsibility of care for our dogs.  Most of our dogs reside with me here at Leather Lead Farm; however, David does have a small brood residing at his kennel in Columbus, Ohio. To continue to build on our kennel type, David and I take several trips to Europe to integrate new bloodlines.  Our kennel is comprised of a number of stud dogs, which is unusual for most kennels, however, David and I prefer the male Labrador.  We produce about 5 litters per year and ensure our breeding stock is healthy by having their eyes cleared annually and their joints certified through OFA.

David and I can be found at Labrador Specialty Shows on most weekends.  We show our own dogs and are proud to state they have won many awards over the years.   Please feel free to contact or e-mail us for information on our stud dogs or upcoming litters.   We may also have an older dog available on occasion.
